Week of warmth prompts Jim’s Tastee Freeze to reopen in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM — Ice cream stands around the area closed weeks ago but a blast of spring-like weather is prompting Jim’s Tastee Freeze to reopen for a few last licks.

In a Facebook post published Thursday, the ice cream stand declared it will be open for a week, the same span of time that forecasters say daytime temperatures in the Capital Region should hit at least the mid-60s through Wednesday.

“Now is the time we need to stick together more than ever, and there’s no better way to do it than over a Boston shake,” Greg Sheldon, who owns the 58 Delaware Ave. business with his wife, Jodi, told NEWS10.
